Equipped a.k.a Chuck Christ is the founder of 3H Music Group and is a trend setting, international artist. The focus of 3HMG is quality, Christ-centric music that encourages listeners to live Humble, Hungry and Holy lifestyles. To date, he has released three mixtapes as an independent artist entitled "Christed Out", "The Seed" and "The Fruit". He is currently preparing to release his first commercial project, "Multiplication".

 

Equipped was raised in a broken home and grew up in the rough city of Cleveland, Ohio. The environment was conducive for the enemy to take hold on his life at a young age. He witnessed drugs, prostitution, gang violence, pornography, poverty and much more dysfunction before his teenage years. Hip-Hop and Gangster Rap were the staples of his steady musical diet. He experimented with drugs, alcohol and pornography throughout high school. Nevertheless, the hand of God stayed upon him. Equipped accepted the call of God on his life immediately following his personal encounter with Jesus Christ at the age of 17. “It was like God walked into my room and whispered in my ear. He took away all my ashes and gave me joy”, Equipped says. “From that day on I was different and I knew what my purpose the earth was. Now my heart's cry is that all God's people will experience a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ the same way that I did!"

 

Being a lover of the rap game, it was no surprise that Equipped decided to continue to lend his ears to rap music. The only problem was that there was not much rap music that came from a Christian worldview. This motivated Equipped to supply the streets with it himself. Because of the lifestyle that Equipped lived, his adamant love for Christ can't help but to spill over into every area of his life, including the realm of music. While performing for anyone who would listen, his inspiring music took the city of Cleveland by storm and Equipped quickly became one of the most sought out rap artists in the Midwest region. Equipped moved to Dallas, Texas with a focus on increasing his influence and making his music wide spread. He produces and writes his own material and has a heart to spread God's message all over the world.

 

Expressing shades of diverse musical sounds and being seasoned with southern, mid-western and east coast flavor, an Equipped album is always a ride that will take you all over the hip hop spectrum. Any project Equipped touches is characterized by banging beats, slick lyrics, dynamic delivery and a real message that everyone from the hustler on the corner to the Pastor in the pulpit will respect, enjoy and appreciate. 

 

He served in the ministry as armorbearer to the late Bishop Bill McKinney at Christian Fellowship Center in Cleveland, Ohio from 2000-2008. He is now a member of The Potter House, under the leadership of Pastor Sheryl Brady. He is a servant at heart with a gift of exhorting and teaching the body of Christ. He currently attends Dallas Christian College where he studies Christian leadership with a focus on church building. He graduates and will walk across the stage in 2014.
